This Privacy Policy describes how Mozaik Software Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use the Recipify mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to being transparent about the limited data we process.

1. Information We Collect

Recipify is designed to work with minimal data collection. Here is what the App accesses:

a) Camera & Photos

When you scan ingredients, the App requests access to your device camera or photo library. The image you capture is sent to OpenAI's API solely to identify ingredients visible in the photo. We do not store your photos on any server we operate. Images are transmitted directly to OpenAI and are subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

b) Data Stored on Your Device

All app data — including saved recipes, favourite items, and your scan history — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly described in this policy.

c) In-App Purchase Information

Recipify offers an optional subscription ("Recipify Pro"). Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymised purchase and entitlement data. Please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

d) AI-Generated Content

Recipe names and ingredient lists are sent to OpenAI's API to generate recipe suggestions and dish images. This text data is processed by OpenAI and is subject to their privacy policy. We do not associate this data with any personally identifiable information.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to third parties.
• We do not share your data with anyone except the third-party services described above.

3. Third-Party Services

Recipify integrates the following third-party services:

• OpenAI — ingredient detection, recipe generation, and dish image creation. Privacy Policy

• TheMealDB — browsable recipe catalogue (public API, no personal data sent). themealdb.com
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

4. Children's Privacy

Recipify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

5. Data Security

Since virtually all your data is stored locally on your device, security is largely managed by your device's operating system. We use encrypted HTTPS connections for all API calls. We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not maintain a server-side user account or database containing your personal data, there is no personal profile to access, export, or delete on our end. You can clear all locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its data via your device settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
